Things to See in the Bahamas:

Grand Bahama
  1. Lucayan National Park: Established in 1977, this 40-acre National Park incorporates one of the largest underwater cave systems in the world. Two caves are open to the public. Swimming in the caves is prohibited. A special permit is required for diving.
    1. Burial Mound Cave: Short self-guided walking tour of a the underground caverns provides some history and ecological information about the area
    2. Gold Rock Beach: Across the road from the Caves is another self-guided walking loop you can complete in under 30 minutes but you will want to spend time more time at the beautiful Gold Rock Beach.

    3. Paradise Cove & Deadman's Reef: Paradise Cove has direct access to Deadman's Reef right off the beach. Their secluded beach offers relaxation without the crowds, without the vendors. Enjoy snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, volleyball or just doing nothing at all.

  10. Coopers Castle: Cooper’s Castle Tour provides an opportunity for tourists and locals to hear the story of the Castle and get a brief history of the life of Rev. Havard Cooper, the man who built and conceived the castle idea. There is also a mausoleum on the estate, which is the final resting place of Rev. Cooper’s wife, the late Doris Minette. It is of interest to note that Cooper’s Castle is located at the highest point on Grand Bahama Island and it is the only castle on the island. website
  11. International Bazaar: The International Bazaar is one of the oldest shopping areas in Freeport, and it truly lives up to its name. It is divided into sections each representing different parts of the world such as the Mideast section, French section, Oriental section, Scandinavian and the South American section. (Closed)
  12. The Dolphin Experience: Experience the excitement of actually swimming with the beautiful Bahamas dolphins. Watch them do tricks and hold on tight to their fin as they swim through the waters.
  13. Glass Bottom Boat to Shark Alley: The water is so clear so we could see the sharks swimming all around the boat. Lots of sharks, big and small
